How Module Rules Work

Each Module has a set of rules that determine which roles can perform specific actions within the Module.

Important: If a role is granted even a single permission from this table, it automatically gains access to the Module. This means that the instructions below apply whenever a new role is given access.

When granting a role the right to view or use a Module, it is not enough to give access to the Module as a whole. You must also consider the rules that already exist for other roles in the same Module.

If even a single existing role has a rule that allows an action, the new role will inherit that access unless explicitly restricted.

To restrict access for a new role:

  1. Go to the Module's rules.
  2. Identify the rules that already exist for other roles.
  3. Add those same rules to the new role with a value of false, to explicitly deny access.

This ensures that the new role does not gain access to actions allowed by rules for other roles, unless explicitly permitted.
